Complaining

← Back to Advertising

The ASA takes complaints from businesses and individuals in respect of adverts considered to be in breach of its codes.

Complaining about an advert is as simple as filling out a form. The ASA has a complaints page: go to it, and fill out the form now!

Providing that the issue raised is one covered by the ASA, they will deal with it. However, be prepared to follow up as, in some instances, they treat a complaint as no more than ‘interesting’ feedback that they will use for research purposes. So, if you do not hear from them within what feels like a reasonable amount of time, be prepared to chase by mailing them at enquiries@asa.org.uk.
